False Friends = Embromation

Hello!!!

It's been a long time since I don't write in here, isn't?
Faz tempo que nao escrevo aqui nao eh?

"Embromation" is something really natural, people use to replace a word that you don't know or don't remember just adding "tion" or something at the end of the word. I don't say that TOO bad because at least the person is trying to communicate. The worst enemy of the learning English process is being shy. Of course, I only accept that on students, if you already finished your English course, you shouldn't be having this kind of mistake because you already studied about it.
If you don't know, I recommend you to just ask the other person and you'll be good!

A big example of "embromantion" but, in this case, on porpouse, I believe...LOL, the song Rebolation, they put together  Rebolar (Shake) and TION and made it up a new "american" word.
Um grande exemplo de "embromation" mas no caso, proposital, acredito eu....rs... eh a musica Rebolation, que ele juntou Rebolar com TION e inventou uma palavra "americana"

REBOLATION - PARANGOLE

Well, I decided to come back and teach something REALLY important to all of you who are studying English... the FALSE FRIENDS.
Bem, eu decidi voltar e ensinar sobre algo muito importante para todos os alunos de ingles... os FALSOS COGNATOS.

What's that?
O que eh isso?

They are words that in English and your native language are similar but they have different meanings... sometimes it may be confusing...
Sao palavras que em ingles e em sua lingua nativa sao parecidos mas tem significados diferentes... as vezes pode haver confusao...

Examples.

In Portuguese we say ASSUME for someone who takes the blame for something.
Em portugues, nos dizemos ASSUME para  alguem assume a culpa por algo.

In English the same word ASSUME has a different meaning. In English ASSUME means you are guessing or imagining or predicting something.
Em ingles, a mesma palavra ASSUME tem um significado diferente. Em ingles, ASSUME significa que voce esta adivinhando, supondo ou prevendo algo.

They are written exactly the same but they have totally different meanings.
Eles sao escritos exatamente da mesma maneira mas tem significados totalmente diferentes.

I assume it was me. (Eu suponho que seja eu.)
If you wanna say ASSUMIR in Portuguese, you should say: " I take the blame. It was me"
Se voce quiser dizer ASSUMIR em portugues, voce deve dizer. "I take the blame. It was me"
